My Stride-5s / Stride-7s is stuck at "Tap Serial Number to Connect" or " Getting Equipment Info", how do I fix this?

Take the safety key out
Re-insert it fully, then power cycle the Stride
After the Stride powers back up press down and hold the 1 & 7 key until the serial number shows on the screen.

1. On Stride 5s/7s if you come to "tap serial number to connect" (shown below) and cannot get past it please try these steps:

2. Insert the safety key fully

3. Turn the Stride off at the base for 1 min and then turn it back on. 

4. Press and hold the 1 & 7 until the serial number appears (the treadmill will beep as soon as the buttons are pressed, but just keep holding them until the serial shows). Should be around 7-8 seconds.

4. Tap Serial Number

5. The Mounted Tablet will automatically check for a Firmware update.


Follow the instructions on screen to complete the firmware update process.
