What is a Citizens Pay Line of Credit?
A Citizens Pay Line of Credit enables customers to make purchases with certain retailers. The Citizens Pay Line of Credit offers customers a fixed interest rate and term for each purchase. We recommend setting up automatic payments to ensure that bills are paid on time.
If a customer is approved for a Citizens Pay Line of Credit but does not complete the purchase process, will the inquiry still show on their credit report?
Yes. Once a hard inquiry has been submitted to a credit bureau, it will be reflected on their credit report.
What information will I need to apply for a Citizens Pay Line of Credit?
Applying for a Citizens Pay Line of Credit is easy. You will be asked to provide your full name, residential address, mobile phone number, date of birth, social security number, and income.
Can customers use their Citizens Pay Line of Credit to make future purchases?
Yes, customers may be able to make additional purchases on their Citizens Pay Line of Credit. Note, the Line of Credit is tied to the retailer and can’t be used elsewhere.
If a customer is approved for a Citizens Pay Line of Credit but does not complete the purchase process will their account be automatically closed?
Yes. A customer’s Citizens Pay Line of Credit will be automatically closed after a period of inactivity, as further described in the Citizens Pay Line of Credit Terms & Conditions and Line of Credit
If a customer is prequalified/eligible for a Citizens Pay Line of Credit, will they automatically be approved?
If a customer is prequalified for a Line of Credit, they must submit a full application for final decision. Most people who are pre-qualified for a program do get approved for a Citizens Pay Line of Credit. However, there may be times where the information gained from doing a full review of a customer’s application and credit history may cause their application to be declined. In that case, Citizens Pay will send the customer an email with more information about the decline.
Can customers have more than one Citizens Pay Line of Credit at a time?
Yes. Citizens Pay works with a number of merchants and retailers. Customers may have a Citizens Pay Line of Credit for several different programs at one time.
How do customers make payments for their Citizens Pay Line of Credit?
Approved customers will receive a welcome email from Citizens Pay after their purchase. It will contain a link to set up their account and enroll in the automatic payment program. It is recommended that the automatic payment program be used so that payments are received on or before the due date. Is auto repayment method required at the time of purchase?
Autopay is not required at the time of purchase, but is highly recommended and can be set up during login at www.pay.citizensbank.com

Citizens Pay provides an easy and secure way to view Line of Credit information at www.pay.citizensbank.com. Customers can view their account summary, transaction history, and make payments using their PC or mobile device.
Will customers with a line of credit have to pay a penalty for paying off their line of credit early?
No, Citizens Pay will not charge a customer for paying off their LOC early.
Does Citizens Pay charge a Late Fee and when is a payment considered late?
Yes. Citizens Pay charges Late Fees. Payments will be considered late if the full minimum payment due is not received by 11pm ET on the day after the due date. Late fee will be posted with an effective date of one day after the payment due date.
How will the late fee be added to the line of credit?
The late fee will be posted to the account balance and added to the next statement cycle's minimum payment amount.
How much is the late fee and is there a limit on late fees being charged?
If we do not receive your minimum payment by the specified payment due date, you may be charged a late fee between $8 and $38 for each late payment up to six total times each calendar year.
